3 COMMUNITY THEATRE CLUB – This year’s Performance “THE TRUETTE FAMILY REUNION” took place on Friday, March 1.   CAST – YOU WERE WONDERFUL!!!!

Our spring session of Community Children’s Choir will be starting Sunday Morning, April 28 at 11:30 a.m., at Trinity United Church.   There will be no practice on Sunday, May 19, Victoria Day Weekend.  We will sing, as guests, at Trinity’s Family Picnic on Sunday, June 16, at 10:00 a.m.

We run our choir sessions in separate, relatively short, blocks of time. This makes it easier for families to commit to attendance.  In order for our children to have a rewarding experience in our Community Choir, it is important to be at these weekly practices.

We are looking for boys and girls, ages 6 to 12, in our community who like to sing! There is no better way to welcome spring after a long winter than by singing in a choir.  We offer an opportunity to learn the joy of singing in an environment of love and fun.    There is no fee.  Just come and sing with us!!!

I can hardly believe it, but, it’s true!!! It’s time to be thinking about our summer Community Theatre Camp.  Families are contacting me for registration forms!!!  Every July, Andrea and I offer an exciting drama experience for all our campers.  This will be our eighth summer!  We welcome all children and teens from our community, ages 6 to 17 years.

Our campers learn sooooooo much, especially in the areas of creativity, speaking clearly, listening for cues, and the biggest of all – Confidence. We guarantee an original fun script and a role for everyone.

Our camps fill up quickly, so please contact me if there is someone at your house who loves theatre and having lots of fun! There is a spot for all Drama Kings and Queens with Guelph United Performers!

Our two camps run the weeks of July 8 to 12; and July 22 to 26: Morning Camp, 9:00 to noon –  6 to 10 year-olds.  Afternoon Camp, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. – 11 to 17 year-olds.   Please keep in touch and contact me soon.

“THE TRUETTE FAMILY REUNION”   – we’ve all been to a family reunion.  And, one sure never knows what to expect, what with all those relatives you’ve never met showing up. What a bunch of oddballs!  And, Great Grammy Maribelle – why, we all thought she was dead!    Oh, dear.  As Preston says, “it’s really true, you can’t choose your relatives”. Our Performance took place on Friday evening, March 1.   And, what a night it was!!! The cast, the characters, the talent, the set, the costumes, the excitement and the fun……….    The house was full with our families and friends.  Oh, what a night!!!

After a good dose of “truth serum” all the relatives finally told their real story. As Hank said, “our reunion may have got a little messy, but no one left or got into a fight”.  And, we all ended up with a castle in England, lots of sheep, 2 Bentleys and 3 Land Rovers.

Beau, Clarice, Daisy, Ella Mae, Emilene, Georgia, Hank, Jolene, June, Kitty, Maribelle, Preston, Priscilla, Prudence, Scarlett, Tammy, Travis, Willadeene, and Willow – are all visiting Bamburg Castle until the fall. CAST –  you are all amazing, and we sure love you!

Community Theatre Club will be starting up again in late September 2019 on Tuesday evenings! Keep in touch!
