The curtain has come down on Guelph United Performers – Community Theatre Camp for another year. We enjoyed two amazing, 1-week summer drama camps for children and teens interested in THEATRE. And what a time we had! We started on Monday, and performed a first-class Show on Friday for our families and friends. Morning Camp is for boys and girls, ages 6 to 10 years, and Afternoon Camp is geared to young actors, ages 11 to 16 years. This is the place for drama kings and queens to shine! Guelph United Performers – Community Theatre Camp will be back again next year, July 7 to 11 and July 21 to 25, 2025.
Summer Camp 2024 featured WE’RE IN SPACE, starring our 6 – 10-year-old campers! Our 11 – 16-year-old campers performed their first who-dun-it with Det. Spade Marlowe. MURDER AT THE QUEEN OF THE QUAYS HOTEL. So much fun!
Our Camp Program consists of preparing for our Show – making props – making costumes – and performing at the end of the week. Our campers learn acting skills; voice projection; singing; stage props; costumes; movement; diction; dynamics; confidence. There are improv games and lots of fun!!! We do expect our campers to have an interest in theatre, and, to be in attendance at camp every day.
